PUC High Schools Named Among the Best in the Nation in 2019!

We are proud to share with you the news that four PUC schools were among the top 8% of high schools in the country, according to U.S. News & World Report. The rankings put PUC Community Charter Early College High in the top 5 best charter high schools in Los Angeles Unified. The rankings also put PUC Community Charter Early College High and PUC Lakeview Charter High in the top 15 best charter high schools in Los Angeles Unified.

PUC Schools have been honored consistently over the past several years with placement on the prestigious list. In all of the graduating classes at PUC Schools, approximately 96 percent commit to enter college or university. Also, while the latest district projections show that less than half of L.A. Unified’s Class of 2019 are eligible for the state’s public universities, 96 percent of PUC’s graduates this year will graduate UC and CSU-ready.

The 2019 U.S. News Best High Schools ranks over 17,000 public high schools out of a review of more than 23,000 nationwide. U.S. News judges schools by six indicators: college readiness, college curriculum breadth, math and reading proficiency, math and reading performance, underserved student performance and graduation rates.

Here are some of PUC’s highlights:

  • PUC Community Charter Early College High was ranked in the top 2% of high schools in the country and top 3% in California.
  • PUC Community Charter Early College High was ranked within the top 100 schools in California.
  • PUC Lakeview Charter High was ranked in the top 5% of high schools in the country and top 6% in California.
  • PUC Triumph Charter High was ranked in the top 7% of high schools in the country and top 9% in California.
  • PUC Early College Academy for Leaders and Scholars was ranked in the top 8% of high schools in the country and top 10% in California.
