26 Mar Statement Regarding Attacks on AAPI Community
PUC Family,
During the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been an alarming nationwide increase in xenophobia, racism, and intolerance against Asians, Asian-Americans, and Pacific Islanders (AAPI). As a result, people who are part of those communities have been put at risk and many have become the victims of targeted hate crimes. At PUC, we condemn all acts of violence, racial discrimination, bullying, and harassment against the Asian and AAPI communities in the United States. Here at PUC, where we have a commitment to Uplift our Communities Now and Forever, we have a duty to condemn such hate and violence by helping to create lasting social and racial change through our work with our students, staff, families, and communities. We stand with our Asian, Asian-American, & Pacific Islander students, families, and staff today and always. We will continue to work together toward a more inclusive, just, and equitable tomorrow for all.
