Thanks to our 60+ volunteer presenters who have committed to sharing their industry expertise &
personal career journey with PUC’s 10th & 11th grades (~950 students!)

COUNTDOWN TO OUR
4TH ANNUAL PUC MAJORS & CAREERS EVENT!

PUC students are so excited to meet and learn from you! Event details will be emailed to presenters and updated on this event page leading up to our Tuesday, 1/21/2020 event.

EXPERT VOLUNTEER PRESENTERS SHARE:

  • Their career aspirations in 10th grade and the journey to their present position
  • Job description, including likes & dislikes, typical day in the life, salary range, benefits, future career/industry outlook, etc.
  • What interested applicants need to be competitive in their position and industry (education, training, skills, character traits, etc.)
  • Advice they wish they had when they were their age (15 – 17)
  • Successes, failures, and what they learned

PRESENTER – EVENT OVERVIEW:

  • Opening session
  • 40-45 minute presentation to ~20 students in classroom setting (i.e. discussion, videos, PowerPoint, interactive games, etc.)
    • Same presentation will be given 3x throughout the day (students rotate through sessions)
    • PUC staff chaperone in classroom to support
  • Lunch break in-between session (meal provided)
  • End-of-day presenter debrief session
