As part of a 17-year old PUC tradition, the incoming 6th grade PUC middle school students in the Northeast San Fernando Valley begin their middle school years on the campus of California State University Northridge. This tradition began when the facility for the first PUC School, Community Charter Middle School, was not ready on time for the school’s opening in 1999. The University generously provided a temporary home for the middle school students on their campus that lasted for 6 weeks. Great news for our high schools! U.S. News and World Report has named PUC Community Charter Early College High School in the top 100 schools in California and has awarded them a gold medal. At PUC Achieve Charter School in Rochester, the first day of Common Core testing began with cheers, and teachers, administrators and parents welcoming students with support and hugs. While some families across the state opted-out of the test, 177 of the 178 students at Achieve took the Englsh Language Arts state test. This is a very exciting and groundbreaking winter season for PUC Community Charter Early College High School Athletics! This year we are making school history by sending three of our four winter teams to the CIF-LA City Section Division 5 Championships.
