Dear PUC CALS Charter Middle Family,
We hope you and your loved ones are all safe, healthy, and well this summer. We are very proud of the tremendous work of our PUC CALS Charter Middle parents, teachers, students and staff during the 2019-20 academic school year. We thank you for being a tremendous part of the school’s continued success in support of its mission and vision. May the PUC CALS Charter Middle graduates of the Class of 2020 continue to be the change makers of tomorrow anchored by their family, community, purpose, passion, and dreams. The purpose for this correspondence, as we plan for the 2020-21 academic school year, is to provide you with exciting news related to the school’s new principal. We would like to take the opportunity to thank Mr. Zenzontl Kuauhtzin, Interim Principal of PUC CALS Charter Middle, for his tremendous leadership during the second semester of last school year. We are grateful for his leadership, service, and commitment to supporting our entire school community. He will transition out of his interim role at PUC CALS Charter Middle and return to his primary role as a PUC Schools Director in support of our organization wide efforts with our parents, students, and communities. We are grateful for his leadership and service at PUC CALS Charter Middle and wish him the ultimate best as he opens a new school year with us at PUC Schools.
This upcoming school year we will be welcoming Mr. Antonio Sanchez to assume the position of Principal of PUC CALS Charter Middle. We are very excited to welcome Mr. Sanchez’ professional experience, passion, and longstanding commitment to social justice through his work with parents, students, staff, and school communities. He is a proud father, former teacher, and school administrator that is very excited and looking forward to joining the PUC CALS Charter Middle family. Mr. Sanchez is looking forward to meeting you and creating strong partnerships with all students, teachers, families, staff, and school community to continue the tremendous work and legacy of PUC CALS Charter Middle. He will be leading the school alongside our Dean of Academics, Jennifer Poot, in support of all stakeholders and desired student and school outcomes. In addition, both site leaders will work closely with our site leaders of PUC CALS Early College High School to further strengthen our 6th-12th academic, culture, and operational efforts tied to the school’s mission and vision.
We would like to thank you for your continued partnership and commitment to our mission and vision at PUC CALS Charter Middle. We look forward to providing you with future organization wide communications related to our plans for Fall 2020 at PUC Schools. In the meantime, please join us in welcoming Mr. Sanchez to the school as the school’s new principal.
