At PUC we constantly strive to identify and hire exemplary faculty and staff. In order to insure that our faculty and staff will be compatible with our students, parents and philosophy, all potential employees undergo a rigorous interview process. As a result of this process, our team consists of individuals who are intelligent, energetic, creative and deeply committed to our vision of student success.

As charter schools, we are required to meet the same NCLB highly qualified teacher requirements as other public schools. Our teacher selection process includes but is not limited to the design and implementation of a demonstration lesson with PUC students. The candidate's interaction with the students in addition to several other quality indicators, are taken into consideration during our evaluation process.

We are a community of scholars and understand that in constantly seeking to learn and improve, we will better meet the needs of our students. As a result of this philosophy, professional development is a high priority at PUC. Our Director of Professional Development, Director of Math Instruction and Director of Human Resources among others, provide exemplary professional development workshops to PUC faculty and staff, on an ongoing basis. Leadership development is also a high priority at PUC and several of our teachers have assumed a variety of leadership and administrative roles in our organization, as a result of their leadership development experiences.

At PUC Schools, our employees work as a cohesive unit united in a common purpose. All employees are student centered and continuously focused on achievement. Our employees believe in the ability and potential of each and every student to graduate from high school, ready for college. Faculty and staff have a sense of urgency about their work and realize that there is no time to waste. In addition, they understand that they will achieve greater results working together than they will achieve by working in isolation. As a result, everybody works strategically, cohesively, diligently and successfully towards achievement of PUC's goals.
