PUC 1st Annual Meet & Greet

On February 21, 2007 PUC Schools held its 1st Annual Meet & Greet with professionals from our community and college bound students of CALS Early College High School and Community Charter Early College High School and their parents.
The purpose of the Meet & Greet was to connect our students, many who are first in their families to attend college, with professionals who attended and graduated from college. Through this gathering our students became further encouraged and excited about attending colleges and universities. We were honored to have Congressman Xavier Becerra (CA-31) speak at the event. He shared his story of struggle and success on his path to college. Other speakers included Anna Olvera, Veronica Montes, and our host Gabriel Sandoval. We thank all of our invited speakers, you were truly inspirational!
At the event, the students had the opportunity to meet and mingle with the professionals. They engaged in conversations about leaving home, college life, and careers. The event was a great success and we look forward to next year!
