Ever since the first class of 8th grade students graduated from Community Charter Middle School in 2002, parents and students had asked PUC to open a high school that would continue to propel the students towards the ultimate goal of college graduation. Following in the footsteps of the success of CALS Early College High School, PUC submitted and received an Early College High School grant with the intent of opening Community Charter Early College High School (grades 9-12) in Fall 2005. Once again, lessons learned from a prior school opening (CALS Early College High School) were applied to the new campus. A successful partnership was quickly developed with Los Angeles Mission College and California State University, Northridge. By
