PUC Community Charter Elementary School has a FREE after school program that is run by the Youth Policy Institute (YPI).
YPI’s Expanded Learning (EXL) after-school, before-school, and bridge programs inspire youth through high-quality experiences that bolster their academic success, enrich their lives and prepare them for college and career.
YPI’s programs are designed to provide students with experiences that capture their curiosity and transmit knowledge and skills.
While each program is individually tailored to its participants’ needs and interests, the following elements are incorporated at every site: homework help, a nutritious snack, and a variety of academic, enrichment and recreational activities.
GOALS OF YPI
- Increase college and career readiness
- Increase knowledge and skill set in academic and non-academic subject areas
- Increase self-reliance and persistence
